Yesterday @Willbaforceltd introduced me to a very talented designer called Pamela Atekpe. She studied as Central St Martins and uses traditional Kente cloth (a particular kind that can be traced back to the 17th Century but I can’t remember the name) and fuses it with other fabric to create VERY well structured timeless pieces. Its a real blend of London and Ghana but in a way that is so cool that department stores like London’s Liberty need to stock her in their über cool section. Watch out for this lady she is doing BIG THINGS ethically.
